What is the Checklist screen?

The Checklist screen displays a number of items as a list to be checked off. Checklists can be nested to create subitems. Learners are expected to check off each item by clicking it as they read through the list.

When to use the Checklist screen

The Checklist screen can be used for displaying:

  • A checklist of items

  • A list of items for learners to commit to memory

  • Things in chronological order

  • Instructions

  • Key points about a specific topic or theme.

How to use the Checklist screen

Step 1: To get started, add a new Lesson to your Course, or navigate to an existing one. Click the ‘Add screen’ button in the Lesson on the Course sidebar menu.

Step 2: Select ‘Checklist’ from the screen select drawer under the ‘Interactive screens’ section.

Step 3: Give your screen a title and click the ‘Add screen’ button to confirm.

Step 4: Your new screen will appear with the screen title, an empty description field, and a single ‘Untitled’ checklist item. Click the checklist item to edit the text. To add another checklist item, click the ‘Add item’ button from the screen options toolbar or the + symbol below the existing checklist item.

To add a sublist item, select the ‘Make sublist’ option from the context menu. Alternatively, click and drag a checklist item under another to nest it.

You can reorder items by clicking and dragging them, or by using the reorder menu located in the screen options toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

SmartColor™

The Checklist screen automatically picks a different color for each individual list item based on your primary workspace color. To set a new base color, just click the color scheme button and use the color picker to add another.
