The workspace settings screen in Coassemble provides administrators access to workspace-level settings that are applied to everything from course notifications to your learners experience navigating and studying courses.

To access workspace settings, click the settings icon on the bottom left hand corner of the screen, just above your profile image, and select the 'Workspace settings' option from the menu.

Global course notifications

Course notifications are the notifications that are sent via email, and displayed in the application inside the notifications section. Course notifications are sent whenever something happens inside a course, whether it be a learner completing a course, or an assignment being graded by a trainer.

Find out more in the Setting up course notifications article.

Learner dashboard

The learner dashboard settings section allows you to configure how learners sort for, and filter courses on their dashboard. The 'dashboard' is the learner's home screen, where their list of courses live.

In addition to allowing learners to filter by folders, you can also set the default sort order so that the course order is determined by a status of your choice.

Course finish states

The Finish screen is the last screen your learners interact with when they have completed a course. From this screen, learners get an overview of how they’ve done. This screen can be customized to display a dynamic message of your choice, and to issue certificates. Find out more by checking out the How to use the Finish screen article.

Progress markers

Progress markers help learners keep track of their progress within individual Lesson screens with hidden elements. They also provide trainers the ability to force a learner to read through all of the content on the screen.

Quiz results settings

By default, Coassemble will show the correctness of each individual question within a Quiz after an attempt has been submitted, allowing the student to review their results and re-attempt the Quiz.

Within the Workspace Settings, you have the option to only show whether the overall Quiz question is correct instead of showing the correctness of the individual answers. Depending on the content you are delivering you may want to activate this feature.

Content security settings

If you're concerned about learners copying the text and images within your courses, you can restrict this by disabling the ability for learners learners to do this.

In addition, you can set your workspace to not allow your users to upload file types that could be deemed as potentially malicious. If selected, users in your workspace will be prevented from uploading certain types of files, such as ZIP archives and HTML documents. In most organisations these file types are perfectly acceptable, but it is possible for them to contain viruses, malicious scripts, and other malware. Note that SCORM packages will still be accepted, as they are always ZIP archives.

SCORM settings

SCORM anonymity

Activating the SCORM anonymity setting will prevent student names being saved in our database. This applies only to SCORM packages.

SCORM quizzes - use one technical attempt with multiple retries

Instead of registering multiple attempts with the LMS, allow the learner to instead retry the quiz from within Coassemble, and replace the score in the host LMS
