Here’s how you can make your own Multiple Choice Template in Coassemble:
Step 1: Select the Multiple Choice Template from the ‘Checkpoint Questions’ panel.
Step 2: Drag your Multiple Choice Template into the Lesson Pathway.
Step 3: Give your new Tile a title.
Step 4: Click the ‘Edit Tile’ button.
Note: From the edit screen, you can choose to change your title.
Step 5: There will be a true/false question preloaded in the ‘Checkpoint Question Editor’ box. Click the edit button to start creating it.
Step 6: Enter the text for your new question.
Step 7: Select the green ‘Add Answer’ button to begin adding answers to your question.
Step 8: Add the text for your first answer option and select whether it’s the correct answer.
Step 9: Continue adding answers by repeating Steps 7 and 8.
Note: You can choose to add an image to your template by selecting the ‘Add Image’ option.
Note: The Multiple Choice Template offers several additional options. Firstly, you can provide custom feedback, which lets you add custom feedback text for both correct and incorrect answers. Secondly, you can choose to randomise the answers to your multiple choice question each time the template loads, making it harder for students to remember which answers were correct if they are completing the template a second time. You can also map your learning outcomes to each multiple choice question.
To continue adding multiple choice questions, simply repeat the process from Step 5. You can reorder your questions using the drag and drop handles to their left. The order you drag them into will be the order they appear to Participants.
Step 10: To preview your template, click on the ‘preview’ icon.
