What is the Word Circle template?

The Word Circle Template provides a fun way for learners to explore the definitions and meaning of words and ideas. Using a graphic or photo within your word circle can be an effective way to introduce new material, or as a visual way to connect ideas. Combining text with images is not only fun and engaging for your learners, it’s also effective!

Note: Before you begin creating your Word Circle Template, you’ll need to prepare your image or images - view the recommended image sizes here.

How do I use the Word Circle template?

Step 1: Select the ‘Word Circle’ Template from the ‘Presentation’ panel.

Step 2: Drag your ‘Word Circle’ Template into the Lesson Pathway. You will be prompted to give your new screen a title.

Step 3: Click the ‘Edit’ button.

Step 4: From the edit screen, you can choose to change your title, and enter a description. A description is optional and will appear under your title if you chose one.

Note: Don’t forget to save your changes using the blue ‘Save’ button when you’re finished.

Step 5: To start building your ‘Word Circle’ Template, select the blue ‘Add New Item’ button.

Step 6: Choose your image and enter a title and description for it. When you’re done adding your image, title, and text, select the blue checkmark to save your changes.

Note: To add additional images, simply repeat the process.

You can re-order each item by using the ‘drag and drop’ handles on the left. The order they’re displayed in here is the order that will be displayed to learners.

Step 7: To preview your interactive template, click on the ‘preview’ icon.
