Embedding allows you to display an external website inside your course content, meaning your learners won't have to leave Coassemble to view it. This is particularly useful for displaying news articles, embedding surveys and forms, or embedding calendar booking platforms for face-to-face sessions.
The following example shows you how to embed a news article into a lesson screen.
From the WYSIWYG editor select the code view option.
Paste the following code into the editor view:
<iframe title="News article" width="100%" height="600" src="add-url-here"> </iframe>
Replace the website "add-url-here" with the URL you want to display. E.g:
<iframe title="News article" width="100%" height="900" src="add-url-here"> </iframe>
<iframe title="News article" width="100%" height="900" src="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-49541485"> </iframe>
Note: adjust the width and height to suit your needs. In the example above I've chosen a width of 100% and height of 900 pixels.
Important: Exit the code view by clicking the code view button again before saving so that you can see the preview inline. If you fail to do this it won't save properly.
Scroll down the page and click save
You're all done - click the preview button to see your embedded website
