Creating a new learner
To enroll a learner into a course or group from the users page, you firstly need to create a learner.
To create a new learner, simply click on the 'Create learner' button. Clicking this will pop open a new window asking you to enter the email address of the learner you want to create. Please note that you can add as many email addresses as you like here, so if you have 100 learners, simply copy and paste the list into this window.
Once you've added all email addresses, click the 'Next' button. At this point, you'll be asked if you want to enroll the learner directly into a course. This step is optional, as you can enroll the learner into a course later. Click the 'Create learner' button.
Your new learner(s) will be created. Click the 'Ok' button to confirm.
Now that you've created your new learner, you're ready to enrol your learner directly into a course, or a course via a group.
Enrolling a learner directly into course
You can enroll your new learner directly into a course by clicking the plus button next to the courses label.
This will pop up a new window where you can select the course or courses you want to enrol your learner into. Choose the course from the list of options. If you have lots of courses, use the search box to locate your course.
Click 'Confirm' to confirm your choice.
Now that your learner has been enrolled, they will receive an email notifying them that they can start the course.
Enrolling a learner into a course via a group
By adding a learner to a group, you will automatically enroll the learner into any courses that the group is enrolled in. Using groups allows you to group together a number of learners who will all be studying the same courses.
To add a learner to a group simply click the plus button next to the groups label.
This will pop up a new window where you can select the group or groups you want to enrol your learner into. Simply choose the group from the list of options. If you have lots of groups, use the search box to locate your course.
Click 'Confirm' to confirm your choice. Now that your learner has been enrolled into the group, they will receive an email notifying them that they can start the course.
Please note that if the group is not yet enrolled into a course, then no email will be sent. If you want to delay invitation emails, add your learner to the group before it is enrolled into a course.
As mentioned earlier, you can add multiple learners to your workspace by pasting in a list of email addresses. If you enroll multiple learners into a course or a group at once, use the multi-select options to do this.
To select multiple learners simply hover over a learner to bring up the row select box and click on it to select the row. Continue to do this for all of the learners in the list you want to select, or click the select all box from the table header row.
As you make your selection, a toolbar at the bottom of your screen appears allowing you to enrol all of the learners you have selected into either a course directly, or into a group.
